Our Team Has Skill!
Joanna Marino, Ph.D.
Clinical Director & Clinical Psychologist
I work with adults who feel overwhelmed by intense emotions, stuck in painful patterns, or exhausted by trying to keep everything together. I specialize in treating anorexia, OCD and anxiety, hair pulling and skin picking, self-injury, and chronic suicidality, and I have a particular interest in people whose struggles are complicated by overcontrol, perfectionism, or chronic medical or neurobiological conditions like PANS/PANDAS. I am Linehan Board Certified in DBT, and this model is the foundation of my work. That means I balance deep acceptance of who you are with practical, behaviorally focused strategies to help you build a life that feels stable and worth living. Clients often tell me they experience me as warm, genuine, and straightforward. I will validate how hard things are, and I will also roll up my sleeves and help you make real change.
Alyson Nuno, Ed.M.
Assistant Clinical Director & Licensed Professional Counselor
I work with adults navigating mood disorders, anxiety, personality disorders, self-injury, and chronic suicidality. I love helping people who feel caught between accepting themselves as they are and knowing something has to change. My work is grounded in DBT, and I have completed Levels 2 and 3 Foundational Training through Behavioral Tech along with advanced trainings in DBT adaptations for different populations. Clients often describe me as steady, collaborative, and down to earth. I want you to feel understood, and I also want you to leave sessions knowing exactly what to try next.
Outside of therapy, I am usually with my partner and our four kids, outside whenever possible, ideally near the water. My long-term dream is to one day offer “DBT at the beach,” because practicing life-worth-living skills with sand between your toes just makes sense.
Lori Zastrow, Ed.M., M.A.
Licensed Professional Counselor
I work with adults who are navigating anxiety, OCD, mood disorders, ADHD, personality disorders, and chronic suicidality. Many of the people I see are exhausted from trying so hard and still feeling stuck. My approach is rooted in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and I have received intensive training in DBT to help clients build practical skills that create real change in daily life. In addition to my clinical work, I am a Zen student under Randy Wolbert, and mindfulness practice deeply informs how I show up in the therapy room with steadiness, compassion, and clarity. Clients often experience me as both validating and active. I will work to truly understand you, and I will help you figure out what to do next to build a life worth living.
Outside of therapy, I love spending time with my dog, Maisy, getting in a workout, and trying new restaurants around the DMV with my wife. something meaningful, our founder brings a blend of big-picture thinking and hands-on experience. They set the tone for everything we do.
Casey Baginski, MSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
I came to DBT for the behaviorism and stayed for the dialectics. I work with adults who experience intense, rapidly shifting emotions, self-injury, suicidal behaviors, and OCD. Many of the people I treat have tried therapy before and left feeling misunderstood or blamed. My superpower is validation. I work hard to help you feel seen and accurately understood while also teaching concrete, behavioral strategies that can help you change patterns that are making life smaller or more painful. I have extensive training in DBT, Exposure and Response Prevention, and other evidence-based treatments, so our work together will be active, structured, and focused on building skills you can use right away.
In addition to providing therapy, I supervise clinical social workers in delivering adherent, compassionate, and effective treatment. Helping both clients and clinicians grow keeps me energized and continually learning.
Sarah Coker, MSW
Licensed Master Social Worker
I believe real change starts with genuine connection. I work with adults who experience emotion dysregulation, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, and traits of Borderline Personality Disorder, and I am especially passionate about supporting people who are queer or living at the intersection of multiple marginalized identities. My primary framework is DBT, which means I help clients hold acceptance and change at the same time while building concrete skills that lead to tangible progress in everyday life. I try to stay flexible to what you uniquely need, and I also bring structure so therapy feels focused and effective.
I come to this work with lived experience. I am queer, and my path to becoming a therapist began after going through DBT myself. Because of that, I know how vulnerable it can feel to sit on the other side of the room, and I do not take your trust lightly. I received intensive training in DBT through Behavioral Tech, and I remain committed to providing care that is compassionate, affirming, and grounded in treatments that work. My goal is to help you build a life that feels more possible, more connected, and truly worth living.
Mabry Griffin, MSW
Licensed Master Social Worker
I work with adolescents and adults who are living with personality disorders, intense emotion dysregulation, self-harm, anxiety, and chronic suicidality. I am especially passionate about supporting people with Borderline Personality Disorder and those who feel like their emotions run the show. My approach is grounded in DBT, and I have completed intensive training through Behavioral Tech as well as advanced training in CBT and Exposure and Response Prevention. Whether we are working individually or in a group, I focus on helping you build practical skills that create real, noticeable change in your day-to-day life.
I believe you are the expert on your own experience. I bring structure, collaboration, compassion, and a sense of humor into the room because growth can be serious work, and we can still find moments of lightness along the way. My goal is to help you feel more confident navigating your emotions and more capable of building a life that feels worth living.
Outside of therapy, you can usually find me knitting, throwing pottery, reading, or spending time with my partner and our two cats.
